Nigeria, Africa's sole representative in the women's football event of the Beijing Olympics, is bottom of the table in the group, after stumbling 1-0 on Wednesday to North Korea, while Germany played goalless with Brazil.
They both need a win to be in contention.
Looking ahead to Saturday's game, Jossy Lad said "We have to work harder. I hope we won't lose against Germany."
The game against Germany is of particular interest to Nigeria.
Germany eliminated Nigeria in controversial circumstances at the Athens Olympics, winning their match 2-1 in Patras, Greece.
Jossy Lad admitted that Saturday's game would not be easy, but quickly added that his players have the fighting spirit that may see them take the three points at stake.
No change is anticipated from the line up that played the opening game with North Korea.
Nigeria's presence in Beijing is the country's third consecutive participation in the Olympic Women Football tournament |
