The money, which will go round US$ 1,538 per medal winner, will be handed over to the athletes by President Mwai Kibaki at the State House, Mombasa, Friday.
KPC Managing Director George Okungu said the Board of Directors approved the amount in appreciation of the superb performance by the team in China.
The morale-booster came about a month after President Kibaki unveiled an award scheme in which gold winners will get US$ 26,153, and silver medallists US$ 12,307
"The team showed the entire world that Kenya still is a real powerhouse in the sporting arena by outsmarting the very best of the world to emerge tops in the continent," said Okungu.
Okungu said KPC was proud to be associated with the team's success, adding that despite the many stumbling blocks the team encountered during their preparations for the championships, the team surmounted all to put up an enviable performance to emerge top in Africa.
"This is an admirable fete that all patriotic Kenyans should laud and be proud of. Africa as a continent, Kenya included, is not endowed with resources like the rest of the first world, but against all odds, we have shown the world that with or without the resources, we can vanquish the globe," he said.
According to him, the government motivation to the athletes equally played a significant role in raising the performance level in that most of the athletes gave their best to attract the promises. He said it was imperative that all institutions and individuals should support the government's effort in honouring the pledge.
KPC has been in the forefront in supporting sporting activities in the country.
Last year, the company donated Shs. 1 million to two national teams.
The state corporation gave Shs. 700,000 to the Kenyan team to the World Athletic s championships in Osaka, Japan, where Kenya emerged second to the USA.
Another Shs. 300,000 went to the ladies' national volleyball team for winning the Africa Cup of Nations.
KPC has one of the most formidable ladies volleyball sides in Africa.
The team has won the Africa Cup of champions five times to be the most crowned l adies' volleyball team in the continent.
Last year, the team lost the championships' final encounter to compatriots and r ivals, KCB.
